She Means Business - Brattleboro Huddle Up

  • The Stone Church 210 Main Street Brattleboro, VT USA (map)

She Means Business: Huddle UP is a space for learning, networking and growth for women in southern VT. Magic happens when we put our heads together in the spirit of education, resource sharing, and mutual support. This event takes place on Monday, May 15th from 5-7 pm at the Stone Church, 210 Main Street in Brattleboro, a follow-up to March’s successful statewide launch of She Means Business, a networking series for Vermont women entrepreneurs. A combination of social networking, sharing of experiences, and educational huddle sessions, this event is FREE

Huddle UP is co-hosted by the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance, the Vermont Women’s Fund in conjunction with the Stone Church. The second installment of She Means Business features two skills workshops where participants will huddle up with peers and learn tangible tools to build their business. Included in the evening is time to mingle and network as well. The huddle topics are:

  • Get the Word out…and Fast- with marketing consultant, Kora Skeele.

  • Think Like a Successful Entrepreneur- with business coach, Amanda Upton.

(You'll indicate which huddle you'd prefer when you register via Google Form below)

“We don’t want to lose the momentum that we tapped less than six weeks ago,” says Meg Smith, Director of the Vermont Women’s Fund, “when we gathered upwards of 50 women business owners and entrepreneurs from Windham County who wanted to connect and learn.”

“This is a continuation of our work to highlight the contributions of women business owners to our Brattleboro economy,” says Kate Trzaskos, executive director of the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance. “And a way to provide invaluable peer assistance to help them grow. She Means Business is about inspiration, connection, and economic growth.”

The May 15 event is open to all those who identify as female with an existing business or interest in starting a business. Registration is free and there will be light appetizers and a cash bar provided by the Stone Church.
